Mr. George Schaeffer, Jr., 85, of Shillington, died on April 13, 2008 at the E.C.C. Retirement Village in Myerstown.

He was the husband of June B. (Blankenbiller) Schaeffer.

Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late George, Sr. and Mabel Schaeffer.

He retired from Dana Corporation in Reading as a Machine Operator. He was a member of Saint Luke’s Evangelical Congregational Church in Shillington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during W.W. II.

Surviving in addition to his wife is:

Son, Capt. George III, husband of Deborah Schaeffer Daughter, Debra (Schaeffer), wife of William of Richland.

Five Grandchildren: Melissa “Missy”, Lori, Thomas, Brandon and Owen

Six Great Grandchildren: Tyler, Travis, Cody Michael, Dakota, Allison and Christian.

Also survived by one brother, Kenneth Schaeffer of Chalfont.

Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday at 11:00 AM at Giles & Yeckley Funeral Home and Crematorium, Inc., 21 Chestnut Street, Mohnton, with Pastor Barry S. Zimmerman officiating.

Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.

A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
