What I worked on:

• The MIRI instrument on the James Webb Space Telescope (MIRI @ NASA, MIRI @ ESA) - launched 2021-12-15
  • JWST as a whole - main mission site, blog, STScI
  • A video of me explaining the detectors in the MIRI instrument, produced by STScI
• The WISE (JPL Project site, UCLA PI site) all-sky infrared survey - flew from 2009-12-14 to 2024-11-02
• The Near-Earth Object Surveyor (NEOS @ JPL, NEOS @ UCLA) - launch planned for late 2027
• A screenshot of my former bio page at JPL (no longer directly available since I retired)

If for some reason you wanted to look up all the academic papers I was involved in, try my ORCID or this more exhaustive search at the Astrophysics Data System (or the equivalent search on SciX). (For a nice “pretty print” format, export the list with the following custom format: %4.3g %Y, "%T", %q, %V, %p)

I was awarded a bit of guaranteed observing time on JWST to recognize my efforts working on MIRI and JWST. I have made a list of the observing topics I chose to do along with the papers that have come out of each of them.

One astronomical target in particular has become “my thing”, but the full story of the planetary nebula NGC 1514 now warrants its own page.

Jigidi is a pretty neat user-driven jigsaw puzzle website. Until I officially publish these puzzles on Jigidi, here are links to a few I am willing to allow to be discovered. (No people pictures!)
